The Spring Research Symposium 2005 took place on April 28 with 51 participants presenting 31 different projects--both numbers almost twice as large as we've ever had before. Assistant Department Head Cal Ribbens and faculty member Godmar Back selected the Faculty Choice winners, who received cash prizes. Representatives from the department's Computer Science Resources Consortium (CSRC)--including representatives from Microsoft, IBM, and MITRE--donated hardware prizes and selected winners of the Industry Choice awards. The over 150 attendees of the symposium selected the People's Choice Award winners, who received their choice of software prizes.
